Anthos|Home is a groundbreaking startup dedicated to housing vulnerable New Yorkers. We're seeking a passionate and experienced Rapid Rehousing Tenant Coordination Specialist to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of those in need of stable housing. Anthos|Home’s Rapid Rehousing Program (RRH) supports homeless youth ages 18-25, providing short-term rental assistance, a range of supportive services, and leveraging Anthos|Home’s network of Property Providers to secure permanent housing.

The Role:

Anthos|Home is seeking an experienced social worker to serve in the new role of Rapid Rehousing Tenant Coordination Specialist. The Rapid Rehousing Tenant Coordination Specialist will work in a team reporting to the Rapid Rehousing Supervisor. In this role, the RRH Tenant Coordination Specialist will be responsible for working with Participants throughout their program enrollment to ensure housing stability before, during, and after placement. The RRH Tenant Coordination Specialist will conduct needs assessments for all Participants, working with the household to address goals related to education, employment, health, and mental health.

The RRH Tenant Coordination Specialist is the primary point of contact for Participants from referral through housing and aftercare and should also work closely with the Participant’s support network including the RRH Supervisor, the RRH Youth Support Associate, and the Property Provider, as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assess immediate needs of clients and makes appropriate referrals to prepare to be rapidly rehoused and to support stabilization in permanent housing
  • Identify Participant strengths and barriers to stability and assist Participants to reducing barriers and linking to resources and services
    Provide aftercare, case management, and advocacy services to Participants
  • Provide proactive follow-up home visits to ensure stability and further progress towards self-sufficiency; this includes support, advocacy, reducing isolation, listening, problem-solving, and identification of resources
  • Biweekly contact by phone, in addition to quarterly in-person in-unit contact once participant is housed to ensure general overall safety and wellness of the participant
  • Provide referrals to community resources, as needed, for issues related to mental health, wellness, legal, and other areas of support
  • Attend meetings and case conferencing as needed to ensure collaborative supports are being provided to the Participants to ensure stability
  • Respond to emergencies during normal business and after hours, participating in the on-call roster for all of Anthos|Home Participants and Property Providers
  • Maintain thorough and accurate progress notes and correspondence while maintaining the confidentiality of program Participants, staff, and organizational information at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate for Rapid Rehousing Tenant Coordination Specialist is someone who enjoys working with youth and people of all backgrounds. A bachelor’s degree or 4-6 years of experience working with people in the housing and human service sector is required.

Additional Skills include:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with NYC housing market and voucher system
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the community; ability to use public transportation or meet travel requirements with accommodations
  • Comfortable with stairs or ability to meet accessibility needs with accommodations
  • Experience with community outreach; experience working with youth is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, data analysis, and independent judgment skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce or Eccovia is a bonus
  • Passionate about the organization’s mission

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive starting salary: $65,000 - $70,000
  • Hybrid work environment (3-5 days in office/field per week)
  • Tuesday – Saturday schedule a possibility
