Anthos|Home is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housing Acquisition Repairs & Lease Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring owner-responsible repairs and managing the lease signing process for our program participants. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing stable housing for vulnerable New Yorkers.
The Role
The Housing Acquisition Repairs & Lease Specialist will report to the Housing Operations Supervisor and work closely with landlords, tenants, and internal teams to ensure timely repairs, smooth lease signings, and accurate data tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor repair agreements and conduct weekly check-ins with landlords on owner-responsible repairs.
- Perform verification walkthroughs and conduct ARC and HQS inspections.
- Maintain accurate repair data in Salesforce and update unit records for client viewings.
- Coordinate with the Operations team if Anthos|Home needs to conduct repairs.
- Communicate inspection findings to Housing Acquisition and Operations teams.
- Collect keys from property providers.
- Submit proposed lease agreements to legal counsel for review and approval.
- Convert approved lease agreements into fillable PDFs and ensure Salesforce and SharePoint are updated.
- Prepare lease paperwork, verifying tenant and landlord details, terms, and prices.
- Schedule and conduct lease signings, guiding tenants through the leasing process.
- Ensure completed paperwork is sent to landlords for countersignature and uploaded into Salesforce.
- Provide weekly reports to the VP of Housing Acquisition.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for housing solutions.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3+ years of experience in housing or human services.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel for inspections and meetings.
- Passion for Anthos|Home’s mission and ability to work in a diverse environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive starting salary:
$65,000 - $70,000/year (dependent upon experience)
- Hybrid work environment
(3-5 days in office/field per week)
